"Troy" by Adele Geras. Feb.27-Mar.1, Whole Book
This is the 2nd time I've read this book but the 1st time I really understood it. It was TAKS day. I knew I needed 3 things-lemon-heads, a pillow, and books. So I grabbed a Sara Dessen book, and Troy, a book I faintly remembered reading on the 5th grade TAKS day. I also remembered being very confused by it. So, once I was done and my brain felt like scrambled eggs I opened the book hoping I would not feel totally dumb. The book proved to be the opposite! While intense and very fast-paced, I got it and could not put it down aside from my 2 naps when I felt I couldn't handle it any more. Even when I got home, I read it and had trouble putting it down.
"Troy" is based off the Trojan War,which may or may not have been real. Anyway, this book is about the lives of 2 sisters during the war, Xante and Marpessa, along with other characters. I think it's 3rd person omniscient because it switches point of view around. It was really good and kind of hard to explain but I liked that book a lot!
