Week of 14-18 "Pride and Prejudice"

"Great Illustrated Classics Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. Read: whole book, Feb. 15-Feb. 17

NOTE: This is not the really Pride and Prejudice, this is the picture book. But it's not that type of picture book. It's mostly words, but pictures here and there. I guess what I'm trying to say is it is an easier read then the full Pride and Prejudice.

This book was good but I didn't understand all of it, which means I will not be reading the full book anytime soon. Some of it was confusing, especially what Wickham did to Mr. Darcy. At least the book *SPOILER ALERT* ended well with Jane getting together with Mr. Bingley and Elizabeth finally seeing the good in Darcy and marrying him. The main confusing part was keeping up with all the characters besides Darcy, Bingley, Jane, Elizabeth, and Mr. Collins. Mr. Collins was quite a character! I wish we could have seen him trying to marry Elizabeth more because he was all pompous and believing he was the greatest when everyone just laughed at him. I also liked whenever Darcy and Elizabeth clashed because you were hoping they would end up together. Them ending up together didn't even feel like a cliche ending, but I'm not really sure why. I do recommend reading this book or the full version, depending on who you are.
